KUALA LUMPUR, 18TH FEBRUARY 2022 – A tribute to ‘tanah airku’, Malaysian born international singer-songwriter, Heerraa, released her first Malay song, an exclusive Bahasa Malaysia Version of her hit pop song, ‘Feel Alive’, at her virtual launch last night.
Feel Alive (Bahasa Malaysia Version) was written, composed and sung by Heerraa following the success of the original English version song that was released early last year.
“The song is about self-love and happiness, and I am so happy to write the song in Bahasa Malaysia. It’s like a tribute to my homeland, Malaysia. I want more people to enjoy the song and sing along to it,” said the 22-year-old singer-songwriter, Heerraa, whose vision is to change the world with music. Heerraa is also the advisor and co-founder of the International Youth Movement, Ascendance.
Heerraa’s fans who attended the launch from around the world responded positively to the song’s fresh new sound, even praising the poetic depth that lies behind the Bahasa Malaysia version of the song. The songstress expressed her excitement about writing more original songs in Bahasa Malaysia, at the launch yesterday.

The original version of ‘Feel Alive’ won three awards in the United States of America last year, including Female Single of the Year (Gold) Award at the International Singer-Songwriters Association, Best Song of the Month (December 2021) at SongwriterUniverse and Entertainer of the Year at the Rampage Music Awards as well as receiving airplay from stations in Australia, Denmark, USA, UK and Scotland.
