15TH DECEMBER 2022, KUALA LUMPUR – Harsha Ravindran, CEO of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing youth organization, Ascendance, was the guest of honor for the IGCSE graduation ceremony held at The International School @ ParkCity.
The 20-year-old social entrepreneur and sophomore at the world’s No. 1 business school, the University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America, gave a heartwarming speech about creating one’s path and not listening to the naysayers.
“Don’t settle for something because it’s what everyone else is doing. If you want to do something your way, there is a way to do it. You have just got to go out there and find that way. Don’t get swept up by the noise or by what everyone else is doing. Once you figure out the way you want to do something, find a way to put that into reality,” Harsha said while sharing her dilemma of choosing her business or her studies when she graduated three years ago. Eventually, she took up both endeavors and is today excelling in them.

“I enjoyed looking back at my time as an IGCSE student while running Ascendance. Over the last three years since I graduated, Ascendance has grown into an international youth organization. I hope listening to my story was helpful, and the students will go on to develop their talents and pursue a career that they are truly passionate about,” Harsha added.
The graduation ceremony reunited teachers and students who had undergone months of online learning due to the pandemic. The night ended with a group photo to commemorate the years of fond memories.
